More of my own poems!Text Box: When you lose a child   When you lose a child Its like nothing ever before Nothing has ever hurt you in so many ways Nothing has ever left you feeling so lonely Empty You feel like the world is over Like you will never be happy again And if you are happy for one moment You wonder if you are allowed To stop grieving just for a few minutes To enjoy the moment Without feeling guilty Then you realise That special moment was sent by your angel Just to let you know she loves you And everything will be ok

Text Box: Why were we the special ones?   Why were we the special ones? Handpicked for this task To give life to a child A life not meant to last Why were we the special ones? Now to live a life of sorrow You were not ours to keep You were only ours to borrow Why were we the special ones? To be given such a gift A beautiful angel to us born For us to sorely miss Why were we the special ones? What did we do wrong? We want to hold you in our arms Down here where you belong Why were we the special ones? We ask the question why Why were we the chosen ones? For an angel in the sky Why were we the special ones? That you picked to be yours Why if we’re so special Did you walk through heavens doors? Why were we the special ones? You chose to leave behind What is there in heaven? That in our arms you could not find? Why were we the special ones? We are learning the reasons why You are the angel that helps us grow stronger With each day that does go by We are the very special ones We will make it through Because you are there to love and protect us In everything we do

Text Box: You pull me through   I close my eyes But I can’t sleep I see pictures of the past Pictures of the future never to be I am lost I see your face I reach for you And you pull me through

Text Box: When I see you again   When I see you again I will tell you all the things I never got the chance to tell you before When you cry I will comfort you in all the ways I could not comfort you before When I see you again We will make memories Like we never did before We will have a future When I hold you again I will hold you all the ways I never got to hold you before And will never let you go.  

Text Box: Tonight   Tonight I journeyed with the stars I tried to get to where you are But yet it is too far Tonight I swam the darkest sea I wanted to be where you would be But yet it is too deep Tonight the greatest mountain I climbed So I could see you and you could see I Bet yet it is too high Tonight I faced all my fears I cried a thousand tears I dreamed all my wildest dreams Just to be with you once more But I must wait Until it is my turn to walk through that door.

Text Box: The flower   A tiny seed Planted, nurtured, loved Fed, watered We sing to the seed We tell stories The seed begins to grow The seed is a new life The seed blossoms A beautiful flower is born The flower stands proud So many can admire Then the petals fall Like the flower was not there at all.  

Text Box: Our moments   You arrived in a hurry On a cold winters day How happy we were to meet you No words could ever say You had a special heart So after a minute we had to part We came to visit you soon after And watched you as you lay It was hot in there and we were tired But we really wanted to stay To watch you sleep And know that you were well We had given life To the most beautiful baby girl We left you for an hour To try to have a rest The doctors moved you to another place The ward they thought was best We came to find you in the morning To meet and say hello We are your mummy and daddy That’s all you need to know We will love and protect you From now until the day The angels come to take you Up to heaven where you’ll play We didn’t know it would be so soon Before you had time to grow We are told these things just happen sometimes For reasons we do not know Just know that we love you And will think of you each day Until the day we meet again Up in heaven where we will play.

Text Box: Tangled up in you   The dawn is breaking A new life is born You’re barely waking Your light is shining through I’m lost in your eyes My heart finds the way Your beauty astounding There are no words to say You are all I imagined And so much more My dreams all granted You are what love is for The night is falling The stars shining through My heart is aching As it’s tangled up in you.  

Text Box: I am complete   The night sky shimmers in the dark Stars twinkling Cold air caressing my cheeks I am touched by an angel Awakened Enlightened With the Reassurance of your presence I am complete.
